We all know how fast the RS Corvette 50th Aniversarry is.
Some complain, others love it! Dont even think of limiting the Motor Amps...contrair, you need MORE SPEED! BTW, Tile Floors are no place for this car...specially w/ stock tires. Nuff said.
Traction issues are easilly solved by replace rear tires with SS gummy.
Variety of fixes for steering...Most often it is in the controller itself...
One out of 2 will drive Perfectly and I proved this by racing on 12 wide lanes on a 25x12' oval and I can do with minimal rail touching at very fast speeds!
A car has to handle well to do this...and not all do except the GOOD ones, 1 out of 2. I also tested on Le Mans style track...handles Great w/ Tight cornering.
1 out of 2 of these suck and should be returned...the Good ones, and there out there for $20 on clearance now are worth having! Buy a few and return the Poopie Ones rolleyes.gif

Ok, heres what to do to get your Vette up to par!

Buy the ZZ Monster Truck Motor Upgrade kit. $6.95 US
You get 3 motors for this CHEAP Price, OMG!
21,000rpm
18,00rpm
14,500rpm

Remove the stock Corvette motor, solder it out. No biggee, easy pie action.
Tin leads on new motor and solder in. Be sure wires are correct so FWD & REV are not backward.
NEW motor is slightly smaller than stock so you will need to shim it up slightly to compensate. You must use somthing to shim it so that the height of the New motor pinion Gear will match the axel drive gear without much tension or Bind. It will make a lot of noise if it is too low and will slip if it is too heigh. Get it just right...experiment...trim the wood shim with an exacto knife to get it just right. Look at the axel, to either side is a plastic rail...glue a small toothpick piece cut to size or Balsa Wood piece to the top of both rails. Now set the motor down on top and position it for fit. You need to remove the ZZ pinion Gear and replace with the Corvette pinion gear. I glued my NEW Motor in place...dab o' crazy glue. Replace the Motor Cover and screw down and re-assemble the car.

Enjoy the NIGHTMARISH SPEED of the 21,000 motor! The 18,000 is just about as good, but the 14,500 is a noticible amount slower, but still has way more torque and sppeed over the stock 10,190rpm motor. Runtimes will be a bit less though nothing too significant. You will notice that when the car batteries run low that the car will stutter and lurch, this simply means, "please juice me up" in Vette language.
All I can say is I have 3 GOOD ones in 27Mhz now and am On a Quest to get 3 GOOD 49mhz's now. Any of you "My Epoch will beat an RS Vette" guys, c'mon over...I'll take you on!

Yo............ cool.gif

I want to add another thing to this topic about the possible loss of traction your vette may havwe with all this NEW found Speed.
I have experemented with weighting down the Back of the car.
I have determined that any weight attached to the actual body of the car will cause serious drift and spinouts in the turns. The best place for the weight is directly under the axel on the flat part of the plastic. I tried a 3Gram Ceiling Fan weight. Not bad, but you know what worked best for me so far. A US Nickel!
Yup, = 5Grams and if you glue it to the flat part under the axel it will be like 1/3 glued to it and then hanging off about 2/3 toward the back of the car. Use KrazyGlue or equivalent generic. This will give Great Grip and be very LOW center of Gravity action! Just what the Vette Doc orderred! biggrin.gif

I do not have the ability to create a video at this time.

These cars are going about 13-15mph at least! Possibly faster?
My fastest SS w/ Purple Motor is way slower than these Vettes modified with the 21,000 RPM motor. They are like Slotcar fast! Demanding of Foamies now...I am trying to make some homemades. I had to also upgrade the use of a Nickel as a Rear End weight and move up to a US Quarter! Now this setup so far has the best grip. SuperSlicks Gummies w/ a quarter as a weight. I know I'll get even better grip with the Foamies and possibly be able to reduce some of the rear end weight since traction should improve.

Somebody try this mod and let me know your results..It is sooooo worth it!
